Introduction
DuelBot ("we", "our", or "the bot") is a Discord bot that provides turn-based dueling games. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Data We Collect
When you use DuelBot, we collect and store the following information:
- Discord User ID: Your unique Discord identifier, used to track your stats and match you in duels.
- Discord Server (Guild) ID: The server where you use the bot, used to maintain per-server leaderboards and settings.
- Display Name: Your Discord display name at the time of playing, shown on leaderboards.
- Game Statistics: Wins, losses, damage dealt, weapon usage, and other gameplay metrics.
- Server Settings: Configuration options set by server administrators (arena channel, timeouts, etc.).
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Message content (we only respond to slash commands)
- Your email address
- Your IP address
- Private messages or DM history
- Voice or video data
How We Use Your Data
We use collected data solely for:
- Running duel matches between players
- Tracking and displaying player statistics
- Maintaining server leaderboards
- Enforcing rate limits and fair usage
Data Retention
Statistics are retained based on your server's tier:
- Free tier: 14 days
- Pro tier: 1 year
- Unlimited tier: Indefinitely
When a server removes the bot, associated data may be deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Discord: Required for bot functionality. Subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: Used for payment processing if you upgrade to a paid tier. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare: Used for hosting. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Data Security
Your data is stored in encrypted databases. We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your stored data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data

Children's Privacy
DuelBot is not intended for users under 13 years of age, consistent with Discord's Terms of Service.
